Waiting List Updates

Postby Jeff Reese on Sun Mar 11, 2007 6:21 pm

I ordered my Sky Redline on August 10, 2006 and am anxiously awaiting delivery. Has anyone who may have ordered their cars around this time give me some good news on their own recent deliveries?

If so, was the wait worth it once you received it?

I think you should have recieved it by now. I reserved a spot in october 2006 and ordered it in march and delivery date is in 2 weeks (april 24th). I think your possibly getting screwed for what ever reason. Each dealership gets to buy to order so many permonth and it is possible your dealer either has a much larger buy list or they are buying them and marking up the value like I have been seeing on autotrader.com . I live in austin tx and my dealer is pumping them out, I see a differant sky on the show room almost every week when I drive by to go to work. For your sake I hope every thing is right but id be on there ass demanding a reason why its taking so long.

Jeff, I got on the waiting list in May 2006. If I remember it was about two months after I put in my final decisions regarding color etc. that the car arrived. I picked it up on the 21st of April this year.
Hang in there, it is worth the wait. I got the Red and Black leather interior with a Silver Graphite exterior. The two corvette owners in the office are quite envious.

My buddy just started lookiing this past weekend. He saw a red Redline in a Maryland dealer's showroom Monday AM. He asked if he could put a $500 deposit on the car until his girlfriend could look at it later that day. The salesman told him no because he would probably sell the car in just a couple of hours. My buddy wrote him a check on the spot and, because he was driving a company truck and wasn't trading anything, the salesman agreed to deliver the car to his home in Pennsylvania later that day.
Apparently not every dealer has a waiting list or else cash talks. :D
