Just came across your forum. Wanted to say that my order has been picked up for production on 11/9/06 so if everything goes as planned, I just might have my RedLine sometime around January 1st of 2007!

Cross your fingers ...maybe it will make it sooner than that. I'm hoping that Saturn/GM increases production speed considering the demand for the Sky. Maybe they are keeping the pace slow to keep the demand high???

I also ordered mine on 11/9/06, but they told me that Saturn is supposed to be increasing the production so its not going to take so long anymore. I hope that is true!

Congrats!!!!! So what made you decide to go with the Sky Redline????

My order was actually placed on September 21st and I LOST 26 days because I didn't insist on getting my Order Number from the dealership. They sat on my deposit and didn't enter my order until 9/21.

By getting your order number and working with someone within Saturn, Event Codes tell the tale. When I say, order picked up, it is at Event Code 3000 Accepted by Production Control.

This is the entire list:

You can get your Order Number from the dealer and either the Sales Manager or the General Manager has access to the GM Workbench to determine your current Event Code.

Well, i decided on the Red Line because of the horse power. I almost went with a regular Sky but decided to wait for a Red Line to become available.
I got an order number right away from the dealer, the sales manager checked it last week and it was at event 3000. So, I am not sure what to expect, I don't know how long is going to take to go from event 3000 to 3800. And I feel terrible calling them all the time to check on the status, but I think I may have to because I am so impatient!

Stopped at the dealership today and the General Manager was able to access the GM Order Workbench..... I've been bumped to 3100 as of 11/21/06.....

I am doing some consulting work for the supplier that provides the pedal assemblies to the Wilmington DE plant and they are starting to work some Saturdays so that should help...

After reading some of these posts, I'm realizing just how lucky I am. I contacted my local dealer on Monday, November 20th to assess the availability of a Sky. He only had 1 on the lot. A guy had ordered it a few months ago and was supposed to pick it up that week. They told me I could come by and look at it...but no chance of test driving. They told me I could order one and it would take around 3 months to deliver. Well, 3 hours later they called me back and said the guy who had ordered it could not come up with the money and the car was available. I got to the dealer as fast as I could, took it for a test spin, and was in love. The car was in my driveway 2 days later on Wednesday, November 22nd. It is a Black Redline, premium wheels, Monsoon premium sound system with XM radio, leather interior...fully decked out. My co-workers all love the car and it's incredible the amount of attention the car gets when I'm out driving. For those out there still waiting...it's well worth the wait. This is my first Saturn and the dealership was great to work with.

I am so happy to hear that!! that must be so exciting for you! Mine has been stuck on event code 3300 (scheduled for production) for about 3 weeks now, and this is driving me crazy!!!! I was hoping to get it by xmas but it doesn't look like I will.....
I hope you get yours by xmas!! wouldn't that be nice!!!

Well, my car is finally at the rail head in Jacksonville, it was shipped on December 22nd and it just made it here yeaterday!!! this is driving me insane!!! now the car has to make it to the dealership and then to me, hopefully if all planets are aligned I will get it tomorrow, that would be nice since this is a long weekend for me.
I can hardly wait to get my car, I have been waiting for a long, long time!!
