General discussion about the Saturn Sky Red Line.

Ordered my sky to be built 1 week ago

Postby buzzard on Wed Mar 07, 2007 5:05 pm

I ordered a midnight blue with black leather and top last week. The sales manager said it usally takes any where from 3 - 8 weeks for the car to actually be shipped to the dealership. Can any one confirm or tell me how lon it took them to get theres after they sent the build order to saturn? Another thing to the already redline owners, hows the road noise with the top up on the highway? Any air leaks? I am excited and I cant wait.

That blows! I hope others have had better luck. I actually put money down on my car last september but the sales manager brought me back in last week to cuase she said it was my turn and there was a open redline slot to for ordering. She confirmed all my information and told me it would be any where from 3 - 8 weeks till delivery, but its not looking good if you been waiting this long. I hope you get yours soon bro.

Did you all just put a down payment to be on the list or did you actually go through the build process? I put $500 down in september then a couple of weeks ago my sales manager told me that my turn was ready and that there was a open slot for a reline build this week. That dealship gets about 4 a month that I see cuase they always put themon display for a few days when they get them.

I put the $500.00 down. I spoke to the Salesman at Saturn of Lithia Springs today and he told me that there were five buyers in front of me, which would mean that my Saturn will get here as they promised after 8 months have passed but no sooner. He also told me that the delivery date varied based on color and that silver typically arrived sooner than the other colors.

I guess either your dealership has a longer waiting list or it does nto get as man redline slots to order as the one I have down here for what ever reason. My car is in the building process acording to the lead salesman. My father also retired from saturn soill be getting a discount on my car ( aprox. 2-3k off) Im was the next on the list and they sit you down and go ever and make sure your odering exactly what you want cuase from there it goes to the factory to be built. You must have either had alot of people intrested in that casr in your area or for what ever reason your dealership didnt get many redline build slots from what im gathering. I only put my $500 down in september. But Ill check and call the dealership on the progress to confirm what im thinking. Good luck bud.

I put $500 down to get on the list back on 7-11-06 at Saturn of Roswell. The 1st week of December 2006 the salesman called and said they were ready to place the order for my Silver Pearl Redline with black and red interior. The car was delivered to the dealer on 2-5-07 and I picked it up on 2-8-07. I sold my Chevy Silverado to buy this car and to my suprise I don't miss my truck. I LOVE MY Redline. Just turned over 1000 miles. The wife and I took a 440 mile roundtrip last weekend and we both said it wasn't bad for two 59 year olds. I have never owned a vehicle that I love to drive as this one. You want be disappointed for the wait.

Triple black

Just received mine last week (03.13.07). I had been on the wait list since September, 2006 though. Put about 5% down.
But its black on black on black, fully loaded w/chrome rims. So no complaints. Handles really well and the giddy-up on it isn't too bad at all. Definately worth the wait!!

Just found out today that my Redline is comming with a electric seat adjuster (mostly for raising and lowering the entire seat. Guess there were complaints about the hight. Might be old news but thought id share. Wonder if it makes a differance.

Just took delivery of mine yesterday. It did have the power seat lift on the driver side. Makes a nice addition, as i test drove an early '07 redline without it and felt like i was holding my arm above my head to just rest it on the door. It also had a power-door lock/unlock button just below the door handle (inside). both features were not avail on the earlier '07 models. These standard upgrades were apparantly implemented with the price increase late last year.

Awsome news. Do you think the lock buttons were all that big of a deal?

actually, they are nice. keeps you from reaching halfway around your body to pull up the lock... or across the car to open for a passenger. i'm pleased with that addition.

so, when's yours due for delivery?

Got invoice :P w00t!

Postby buzzard on Sun Apr 08, 2007 8:37 pm

Ok the invoice for my car came a few days ago but Ive been so busy with work or I would have posted it the day of hearing of it. April 24th is the delivery date on my Midnight blue Redline. Im very excited since that is less then 2 and 1/2 weeks from now. Im a lil nervouse cuase I have no carport or garage here and im looking to move for that reason. I might buy somthing to cover it up with so no lil kids kick a ball into it or scratch it. Any one got a recomandation on a car cover?
