Any Truth To The Rumor?

Postby almosta » Thu Dec 04, 2008 3:33 am

That GM is either selling or shutting down Saturn as part of the Bailout? Any information on the impact on service or trade-in value? I just bought an '09 Special Edition Ruby Red Redline at full price (the cash price was about $36,000 including TT&L).

With this annoucement by GM, I gotta feeling that dealers are gonna get them out the door for whatever they can get (so long resale value). I'm also worried about repairs, warranty and spare parts.

Any encouraging words out there. Too bad, its a great little roadster that deserves a future.

Thanks,

Well, I don't know about you, but I think the Sky will do nothing but go up in value because they are not making them anymore. We have 3 Sky's, an 07 Chili Pepper Red 2.4L w/ auto, an 07 2.0 Redline, Black Onyx loaded w/auto, black/tan leather, and a new 09 Ruby Red Redline, love all of them and will have them for a long time to come. The Ruby cost us just a little over 30k out the door. It was loaded w/auto black leather int. We also have a matching Ruby Red Sky Trailer to pull behind our 09 for those long Cruises and Vacations. If I can figure out how to post a pic of it I will. The picture is of My Sky and trailer at the 2009 National Sky/Solstice Meet in Denver in June.

Oh! I almost forgot, Roger Penske has acquired the right to Saturn and will still build 3 Models but the Sky is not one of them, but he also has the rights to the parts as well.
